Vic Ciric
Vic Ciric – Nickname “Slick”. Born Vojislav Ciric in Belgrade. Singer, songwriter, full time guitarist. Chicago area based Independent Artist and session guitarist for thirty five years. Moved to Croatia in 2022, member of Croatian Blues Forces with plans of releasing new music. First influences were The Beatles and many , mainly British artists like The Stones, Small Faces, Who, Kinks, Animals, etc. Started writing original songs as soon as learning the first chords on guitar at 15. Has over 120 songs registered with ASCAP. First paying job at 18, playing in a play at Belgrade National Theater. Fell in love with the blues while trying to become a better player listening to Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Alvin Lee, Mick Taylor and others and gradually learning about the real roots and great bluesmen like Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, B.B. King
Former guitarist for band Midnight Rider #1 Midwest Allman Brothers Band Tribute, Own Blues/Jazz band BlackJack Blue and various other musical projects. Vic has shared the stage with: Buddy Guy, Detroit Junior, Jimmy Johnson, Brother John Kattke, Lonie Walker, Bill Dickens and many others. ASCAP as writer and publisher . Original song “Thrill Ain’t Gone” won Academia (Los Angeles) Song of the Month – May 2017. Versatile in different styles and genres: Blues, Indie rock, pop, jazz, country rock.
